I specialize in developmental and line editing
NOTE: Don’t think about editing while you’re writing your first couple of drafts. Writing and editing are different, mostly imcompatible functions. Keep them separate.
Different types of editing are performed during various stages of the writing process.
Sometimes called substantive or structural editing, developmental editing involves the overall organization and flow of your manuscript.
I highly recommend Stacey Dennick’s editing services. Her guidance, encouragement and thoughtful revisions allowed me to turn my draft memoir into a readable and entertaining book. I could not have done it without her.— Diana Morgan
Just as the name implies, line editing involves examining each sentence to make sure it’s the best it can be—clear and compelling. Care is also taken to ensure a variety of sentence lengths, the use of strong verbs, and the elimination of excess adverbs and clichés.
Your suggestions for altering sentences often leave me muttering, ‘Of course, why didn’t I think of that?Salle Webber, Author, The Gentle Art of Newborn Family Care.
